Ms Grace Ruto

Grace is a Road Safety and Defensive Driving advocate. She is also a public health consultant with over 7 years’ experience in leadership, policy development, strategic management and advocacy.

She has been involved in drafting policies and strategic plans. She is also a researcher and has participated in carrying out research within the military barracks in Uganda on the Drivers and Barriers for HIV related behaviors in the military. She has a wealth of knowledge (over 7 years) working with NGOs across and beyond Uganda.

Ms. Sarah Bananuka

Sarah is a dynamic people-oriented person, self-driven, and has over 35 years’ experience in Education, Business management, Administration, Conflict Management, Advocacy and Diplomacy.

As a road safety advocate, Sarah has worked closely with taxi drivers, vehicle owners, Uganda Red Cross and Ministry of Transport in ensuring that vehicle operators are not only empowered with road safety skills but also with alternative source of income. Sarah alongside other stakeholders, developed a comprehensive skilling syllabus for vehicle operators covering modules such as; Ethics of drivers, First Aid, Alternative income generating activities, high way code dynamics, and security management in passenger taxis.

James Lubai Akena

James is a member of professional bodies – Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Institute of Road Transport Engineers, Institute of Transport Administrators and Institute of Transport Planning Society.

He’s an accomplished, highly experience transport professional with a proven record of success in transport management, planning, strategy, policy formulation and audit for over 20 years. In addition, he has a depth in assessing transport operations needs and understanding the uniqueness of transport system. He has passion for road safety, education and training of young professionals.

Eng. Irene Namuyiga

Irene is a road safety engineer and has over 15 years’ experience in Civil Engineering; 9 years’ experience in road development and maintenance, 5 years in Transport planning Engineering and management.

She’s a Road Safety Engineer at KCCA and has also been a Roads Engineer in 3 Divisions of Kampala. She’s got good understanding of the Kampala’s Road network, network challenges, gaps in the transport and mobility needs, road safety challenges, public transport sector needs and analysing traffic congestion challenges.

Mrs. Evelyne Baelvina Nyachwo

Evelyne is a Public Health Specialist and Researcher. She holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology, both from Makerere University.

She works at Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund as Research Support Officer. She is a research fellow at Makerere University, School of Public Health. She has implemented research in health care services for refugees, livelihoods in flood affected districts in Teso/ Karamoja region; maternal and adolescent health; digital mechanisms of data collection and non-communicable diseases

Yasin Magombe

Yassin has 20 years of industry experience in Human Resource Development (HRD) and Organizational Development. He is a Career & Performance Coach, Mentor and Transformational Leader who has inspired strategy and change processes for numerous local and multinational corporations including Non-governmental organizations in the fields of education, health, business/entrepreneurship and humanitarian works.

Professionally, he is certified trainer, a certified lean six sigma project management professional and an educationist (specialization in economics). Yassin is currently pursuing a CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic Learning & Development.
