Personal Details

When you join us as a volunteer, you also become a member of Legacy Road Safety Initiative and you’ll be bound by all our policies. This means that you will receive wider regular updates from us. Membership is free. But if you wish to opt-out from the membership at a later date you can do so as well. Just let us know.

Volunteer Role

Please give us details about what you are interested in doing as a volunteer – indicate all that apply and please remember that appropriate training can be given for each role.

Your role will be to provide real time support to the schools we engage with, oversee the road safety cub activities in these schools hence the liaison officer
This role involves providing technical support in trainings, and awareness engagement with beneficiaries.
Our research volunteers undertake outreach and speak with local people (different stakeholders) to provide us with the robust and up to date information we need to customise our services/programs. This role includes sub-categories representing Legacy Road safety initiative at meetings and in public venues (road safety-outreach), data collection on different road safety issues etc.
Our communication volunteers create, improve and maintain our communications with the people of the communities where we work.
These are short term roles that apply to some of our very engaging calendar activities such as the road safety Marathon, non-motorised awareness campaign, interschool conventions etc.
Our post-crash care volunteers range from counsellors, paramedics, drivers, IT experts to emergency experts etc. the nature of support offered varies from time to time

Availability

When would you be able to volunteer with us?

Please provide the times you are available. We require a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week. We ask that you commit to volunteer with us for a minimum of 6 months with exceptions on campaign volunteers.

Supporting Information

Please provide us with the names of two people to provide a reference.
They must be over the age of 18 and must not be related to you. They should have known you for at least two years. These can be previous employers, university tutors, personal acquaintances or anyone else who can comment on your suitability for the volunteer role. Referees will only be contacted after your interview if you are accepted, to ask their opinion of you as a potential volunteer.

It is our policy to store data relating to recruitment procedures for a minimum of 12 months after the date on which it is submitted. Any information of this nature will be treated confidentially.
